The exhibition is «re-presented»: an aesthetic and conceptual inquiry in which painting becomes a place of connection and interdependence. A dense, layered gesture translates the physical principle of entanglement — distant particles that keep influencing each other — into images, while the pictorial matter resonates with the viewer. The Salaeditori catalogue and issue 307 of Segno magazine are available at the gallery.

Concrete, metal mesh: the matter of the urban building site as a skin to be sewn.

The title stems from an intuition of Fabrizio, whom their shared teacher affectionately called Fernando, and grows out of the deep, fraternal friendship that binds him to Pino Molica. A personal and intellectual entanglement that becomes the curatorship of the exhibition: a living dialogue between art and life.
Bernabei does not paint: he builds the surface. Zips, laces, nets, concrete and expanding foams hold together fragments of different realities; tulle and nylon act as a membrane; stabilised Icelandic moss brings into the work the nature that re-inhabits the human building site. Mineral, synthetic and biological: an archaeology of the future, in which the zip does not divide but declares that the two parts belong to the same system. His work has been written about by Paolo Balmas, Carmelo Strano, Gianluca Marziani, Fabrizio Crisafulli, Guglielmo Gigliotti, Stefano Conti and Fátima Lambert. He has taken part in the Premio Terna and the Premio Celeste. He has worked with the Pino Molica Gallery for over twenty years, between Rome and New York.
“This too is entanglement: the bond between those who create and those who observe, between the hand that painted and the eyes that now keep that image.”

Poetry pays an ideal visit to the exhibition: Nicola Marcucci gives voice to lyrical suggestions and intimate performative actions, in dialogue with the works on view.
Pino Molica trained between 1968 and 1975 alongside the sculptor Lorenzo Ferri. With him he worked on the preparation of the monumental Christ commissioned by the City of Rome for Prima Porta: the sculpture, transposed into resin, was taken to Carrara to be translated into white marble. Ferri wished to be buried at the foot of that Christ. In those years Pino also collaborated on Ferri’s studies of the Man of the Shroud.
In 1982 he opened his gallery in Rome [first venue and first exhibition TO BE CONFIRMED]. In the 1990s he invented the Explorer Coffee Gallery, the city’s first gallery-café, and took his artists between Rome, New York and Porto.
